Enjoy a magical luxury train journey in India with Palace on Wheels. This grand moving hotel will take you to the most iconic royal cities, including Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur. You will also get to see the gorgeous white marble wonder in Agra. For seven nights and eight days, you will enjoy top-notch hospitality and high-end dining. This train journey will start and end in New Delhi, and each day promises a new adventure and special experience. The train runs at night, and during the day, you get to enjoy guided tours, boat rides, camel rides, royal elephant rides, and so much more. On board, you get your own helper, fancy meals, and a cozy room with lovely decor and modern amenities.
Day 01: Departure from New Delhi
Depart from Delhi and begin your royal journey on the “Palace on Wheels.”
- You must reach Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi before 4 PM, as the check-in process starts immediately after a traditional welcome ceremony.
- The staff of this luxury train will help you get to your cabins, serve you welcome drinks, and briefly tell you about on-board facilities.
- By 6:30 PM, the train will start its journey to Jaipur, which means you will spend your first night on the train.
- You will enjoy a delicious dinner at two luxury restaurants (The Maharaja and The Maharani) on the moving train.
Day 02: The Pink City Tour
On Day 2, explore Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and other historic destinations of the Pink City, Jaipur.
- The train will reach Jaipur in the morning. Your day 2 will start with a royal breakfast at 7 AM.
- By 8 AM, vehicles will be ready to take guests for a fun tour, and when you get down from the train, you will receive a Rajasthani welcome.
- Before lunch, you will visit Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort, and other attractions. You will enjoy a tasty lunch at the fancy 1135 AD restaurant inside Amber Fort at 1:30 PM.
- After lunch, you will enjoy an elephant ride at the fort. By 5 PM, you will go shopping at local markets in Jaipur famous for jewelry and handicrafts.
- You will come back to the train by 7 PM and enjoy a nice dinner at 7:30 PM, and the train will depart for the next destination (Sawai Madhopur) at 8 PM.
Day 03: Sawai Madhopur and Chittorgarh
Experience the jungle safari adventure of Ranthambore National Park, the majestic Chittorgarh Fort, and the evening light show.
- The train will reach Sawai Madhopur in the morning. Your day 3 of this amazing luxury train journey will start with an early morning jungle safari (6 AM) at Ranthambore National Park.
- After enjoying the jeep safari, you will return to the train to enjoy a tasty breakfast at 10 AM. The train will start its journey to Chittorgarh by 10:20 AM.
- You will be served lunch on board during your journey, and you will reach Chittorgarh by 3 in the afternoon.
- At 4 PM, you will visit the Chittorgarh Fort, and after exploring, you will enjoy tea and other refreshments in a fancy restaurant inside the fort.
- You will watch the sound and light show at the fort (6 PM) and then return to the train to enjoy a delicious dinner by 8:00 AM. The train stays at the station all night.
Day 04: The City of Lakes Tour
Your Day 4 covers the Lake Pichola ride in the City of Lakes, Udaipur. Also, visit City Palace, Jag Mandir Palace, and other notable places in the city.
- The train will leave Chittorgarh in the morning and arrive in Udaipur at 7 AM. Guests will enjoy breakfast onboard at 7: 30 AM.
- After some rest, guests will be taken on a city tour at 9 AM. They will visit Saheliyon ki Bari, City Palace, and Crystal Gallery. They will also enjoy some shopping before lunch.
- Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch at Fateh Prakash Hotel at around 1 PM. After lunch, they will enjoy a boat ride on the blue water of Lake Pichola to reach Jag Mandir Palace.
- After enjoying high tea at Jag Mandir Palace, guests will return to the train by 3:30 PM, where they will be served evening tea.
- After some rest, the train will leave at 4 PM for the next destination of this magical journey, which is Jaisalmer. You will spend the night on the train and enjoy a wonderful dinner on board.
Day 05: The Golden City Tour
Day 5 offers you a close experience of the Golden City, Jaisalmer. Visit Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon ki Haveli, and more. Also explore a camel safari and a cultural show in the evening.
- The train will reach Jaisalmer at 9 AM, but guests will be served breakfast at 7 30 AM. So, you can enjoy your morning meal on day 5 and rest before the sightseeing starts at 9 30 AM.
- Before lunch, guests will visit many amazing spots, including Heritage City Walk, Gadisar Lake, Patwon ki Haveli, Jaisalmer Fort, and Nathmal ji ki Haveli.
- Then, you will head back to the train for lunch. After enjoying lunch and taking a short rest, they will head out at 4 PM for a camel safari at Sam Sand Dunes.
- After the safari, guests will be served tea, and then they will return to the train by 7 PM. After some rest, they will head to Gorbandh Palace for a special dinner with a live cultural show.
- Guests will return to the train around midnight for an overnight stay. The train will start its journey to the next destination, which is Jodhpur.
Day 06: The Blue City Tour
The Blue City tour comes on the 6th day of your journey. Explore historic Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and other architectural marvels.
- Palace on Wheels journey will take you to Jodhpur. On day 6, the train will arrive in the Blue City in the morning. Guests will enjoy breakfast at 7:30 AM.
- Vehicles will be ready by 9 AM, and then guests will be taken on a city tour. Before lunch, they will explore the famous spots like Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and Umaid Bhawan Palace.
- Guests will also enjoy some local shopping before arriving at the luxurious Ajit Bhawan Palace at 1:30 AM.
- Guests will return to the train by 4 PM. They can simply relax and enjoy the facilities inside the train for the rest of the day.
- The train will leave the station at 4:30 PM. On the journey towards Bharatpur, guests will enjoy dinner at 7 30 PM before their overnight stay on board.
Day 07: Bharatpur and Agra
Day 7 is special in this journey as you reconnect with nature in the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Then, head for Agra and explore the beautiful Taj Mahal.
- The train will stop early in the morning at Bharatpur, so guests can head out at 6:30 AM for an early morning safari at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
- Guests will return to the train by 8:45 AM, and breakfast will be served shortly after. After breakfast, the train will start its journey to Agra at 9 AM.
- The train will reach Agra Cantt Railway Station at 11 AM, and your city tour will start immediately.
- Before lunch, you will be taken to Agra Fort, and lunch will be served at Deluxe Hotel at 1:30 PM. By 3 PM, you will visit the Taj Mahal, where you can take many nice pictures with this amazing white marble building.
- After sightseeing, guests will have time to enjoy shopping till 6 PM, and then they have to return to the train. Dinner will be served on board at 7:30 PM, and the train will start its final journey back to Delhi at 8:45 PM.
Day 08: Return to New Delhi
